_We are currently accepting applications for an Estimating Coordinator to work in our Lawrence, Kansas office._
Qualifications
The candidate must have the following education, skills and abilities.
Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. An Associates Degree is preferred but not required.

Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required. At least 1-2 years of administrative assistant, customer service or clerical related experience is required.
Other requirements: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
Skills
Computer Skills: The candidate must have accurate typing skills and be proficient in usingdatabase, email, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications: specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows); willing to learn new software applications.
Customer Service - manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
Summary and Nature of the Work
The Coordinator is an important part of the estimating and pre-construction team(s) to which he or she is assigned; he or she is a vital part of good information management for assigned projects. Additionally, he/she provides logistic support and coordination needed to plan and execute important meetings and conferences.
The position mirrors a clerical role
The Coordinator indirectly contributes to the success of the company by effectively and efficiently supporting estimators, project managers and, when required, other P1 leaders.
_Essential Responsibilities_
1. Administration and Information Management
1. Prepares, edits (as needed), requests (as needed), receives, electronically stores, and/or monitors estimating and pre-construction correspondence, including, but not limited to:
1. Bid Requests, Drawings and Specifications, Agendas, Pre-Qualifications, Scope and Bid Letters, Estimate Recaps, Subcontractor and Vendor Quotations, Sends bid requests and gathers quotes from suppliers, as directed by the estimator or project manager. Attends marketing meetings to stay apprised of upcoming bids and wins/losses. Enters and maintains data in the estimating tracking system. Data includes bid dates, assigned estimators, estimate amounts, wins/losses, etc. Obtains certificates of insurance and bonds as required for bids. Reviews certificates of insurance received from subcontractors to ensure proper limits and wording are reflected. Maintains subcontractor blanket certificates of insurance. Assists in obtaining and maintaining badges and certifications as requested. Supports Project Coordinators as needed.
2. Logistics Support and Coordination
1. Plans, coordinates, and supports meetings, training sessions, and conferences.
2. Coordinates travel for the estimators, project managers and, when needed, for Operations Managers and/or Vice Presidents
3. Orders supplies, troubleshoots and calls service for copiers/printers/faxes

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
