com Purpose:
To assist and help oversee the training program and improve training quality of Thermoform Process Techs.
To insure all Thermoform Process Tech training is done in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
1.
Ensure compliance with all environmental, health & safety regulations.
2.
Lead by example, following all critical safety behavior rules while encouraging all employees to work safely.
3.
Help in overseeing the Training program for Process Techs.
4.
Provide training classes and advanced training for Process Techs.
5.
Participate in monthly meetings with Thermoform Trainers.
6.
Insure trainers and trainees have all necessary documents for training.
7.
Help review training procedures and revise if needed.
8.
Help create and oversee training sign offs until completion.
Turn in completed sign offs to ISO team leader.
9.
Continue to develop training program on all shifts.
10.
Train Thermoform Trainers to help continuously improve the training program.
11.
Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and Department of Health Requirements.
12.
Assist with any special projects designated by Thermoform Manager or Thermoform Supervisor.
13.
Start new employees on Berry Safety On Board training.
14.
Able to perform all process tech duties, and step in as needed to help the production floor needs
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
1.
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent 2.
Two years of previous extrusion and/or thermoforming experience 3.
Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
4.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
5.
Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently and/or up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally.
6.
Ability to push/pull loads in excess of 75 pounds occasionally.
7.
Able to stand/walk for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
Be able to work extended shifts if needed.
8.
Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warning alarms and horns on forklifts.
9.
Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance.
10.
Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complex.
11.
Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
12.
Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.
13.
Bending and lifting ability adequate to shovel material.
14.
Ability to work in dusty / smoky environment on an intermittent basis.
Pre-shift exercise / stretching activity to be performed before you can enter production area unless written doctor's release can be provided to Human Resources.
Authority:
Is hereby given to the employee by the thermoform production manager to carry out the responsibilities and any other duties as directed.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
