OVERVIEW DCCCA is recruiting for an Infromation Technology Specialist to provide computer support to all of DCCCA's offices and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, operating system software, applications software, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, and cabling per DCCCA guidelines and standards.
Works with telecom vendors, equipment vendors, application developers and application support service providers Implements standard policies and procedures related to network hardware and software use, support, backup, disaster recovery, external access, network and host security Establishes and maintains network user accounts and network environments Provides networking assistance including help with network connections and passwords Provides user computer and software training as required Responds to the needs and questions of network end-users concerning system resources and operations Provides updates, status, and completion information to IT manager, problem request tracking Communicates with management to report and resolve software, hardware, and daily operations problems Consults with management to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives Monitors WSUS network service to evaluate and approve Microsoft Updates Installs and tests software upgrades Maintains various Web servers and email system(s) Manages remote client VPN access Monitors network traffic and makes necessary recommendations for additional resources or hardware Manages set up and maintenance of intranet(s) Monitors functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications Ensures that operating systems and application software in use by DCCCA, Inc.
are compliant with licensing requirements Replaces defective or inadequate software packages Maintain software license records hardcopy and online registration Archive and store software media as required to maintain availability to operations Analyzes incident data and vulnerability of company networks, including internal and external web sites, to identify trends and make recommendations Enriches security tools on access control and network data privacy protection, including new relays, encryption and key management and alternative authentication techniques Monitors for, and reports suspected electronic network security breaches to senior management May require up to 20% out-of-town travel Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree, or two to three years equivalent industry experience and/or training, required.
Class C driver's license with clear driving record, required.
Reliable personal transportation, current automobile insurance, and approval by DCCCA's auto insurance provider to drive company and personal vehicles on DCCCA business, required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
