00 an hour 19 hours ago 19 hours ago 19 hours ago General Production - Amarr - Lawrence, KS Are you looking for a new challenge in manufacturing production? Then a position in general production is for you! We have multiple shifts, day and night.
The shifts are Sun, Mon, Tue or Wed, Thu, Fri with rotating Saturdays.
These are 12-hour shifts (either 6-6 or 7-7; days or overnights).
We also have Mon-Fri 8-hour shifts and Mon-Thu 10 hour shifts available.
We are a climate-controlled environment.
A general production worker will work on an assembly line to produce garage doors.
You will be responsible to complete production orders accurately and safely in a timely manner.
You will also cross train on other entry level positions and develop product knowledge.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand/power tools Ability to learn product, work well under pressure, and be mechanically inclined with the ability to operate power tools Standing/Walking:
Job requires standing throughout the entire shift.
Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift, depending upon the position assigned.
Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting:
Job requires lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels.
Maximum required individual lifting limit is forty-five pounds.
Must be able safely work with another team member to carry or lift door panels in excess of forty-five pounds.
Frequency of lifting and carrying is job task dependent.
Pushing and Pulling:
Pushing of carts is often required.
Occasional pulling to steer the cart is required (appropriate training techniques will be covered on this area for your safety).
A force of 50lbs is often required to move a loaded cart.
Pushing forces required in excess of 50 lbs.
