The position performs a variety of specialized academic administrative support for undergraduate business students including the areas of admissions, scholarships, graduation and enrollment.
The ability to work independently, with strict attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality are essential in this role.
This is a full-time, 12-month, staff position reporting to the Principal Analyst.
It is designated as an on-campus position at least through the initial training period.
Alternative and flexible work schedules may be evaluated as per KU policy and School guidelines after training is completed.
Office will be located in beautiful Capitol Federal Hall, a 166,500 square foot modern facility that the School of Business has called home since 2016.

Job Description 80% Student Records and Academic Services - Provide the highest standard of confidentiality and accuracy with regard to student records.
Process, coordinate, audit and document a wide variety of administrative functions focused on student records and academic services for undergraduate business students.
Processes may include but are not limited to aspects of admissions, scholarships, graduation and enrollment.
Example of tasks inblude:
Independently apply school standards for admissions and transfer eligibility.
Coordinate and process change of school forms for business undergraduate students including tracking data, keying exceptions and documenting outcomes.
Independently complete confirmation of degrees including review, approvals, denials and rescinds.
Process course petition forms and serve as point person for permissions.
(This is now the responsibility of the Research Analyst)Maintain and coordinate student records data within and between university systems including Enroll & Pay, Jayhawk GPS and DPR.
Extract administrative data related to admissions, enrollment, honor rolls and verification for graduation to generate a wide variety of reports and lists.
Collaborate with academic advisors during pre-certification to forecast and resolve anticipated conflicts.
Collaborate with Area Directors to set and manage course capacities.
Communicate with students and appropriate university staff/departments both within the school and across campus to ensure enrollment, admissions, student distinctions and other academic issues are addressed for students.
Respond to student requests and serve as a resource to resolve issues by independently utilizing expertise and referring to others as appropriate.
Review existing workflows, processes and policies.
Identify inefficiencies and assist in the development of improvements.
15% Administrative Support - Provide essential administrative support to undergraduate business programs, as needed.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Independently complete general administrative tasks including preparing materials, generating reports and completing daily correspondence.
Maintain electronic and/or paper filing systems, databases and record keeping.
Work in coordination with the dean's office and other school staff and faculty on special projects as assigned.
Monitor workflow and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
5% Other - Participate as a valued team member of the School of Business staff.
Attend business school staff and faculty (as needed) assembly meetings.
Participate in school and university wide committees and groups as requested.
Complete other job-related duties as assigned.
May supervise and provide leadership to student employees, including training and assigning of tasks.
Required Qualifications High School diploma or completion of G.
E.
D.
equivalency, plus four years of office experience; or four years of post-secondary education.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel, as indicated on application materials.
Preferred Qualifications Experience utilizing the KU Enroll & Pay system or other enterprise systems.
Strong organizational or time management skills as evidenced in application materials.
Strong written communication skills as evidenced in application materials.
Evidence of strong verbal communication skills or collaboration across a wide range of constituents.
Evidence of independent decision making in a professional setting.
Evidence of ability to successfully manage periodic high volumes of work and meet critical deadlines in professional setting.
