Location Description:
The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 155 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits .
Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away.
The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams.

Due to increasing customer demand, the Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS is transitioning to a 24/7 production schedule! Production team members will work:
12-hour shifts, either 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am (shifts do NOT rotate!) Work 3 days one week and 4 days the next week (either Tuesday - Thursday or Saturday - Monday with alternating Fridays) Shift premiums up to $1.
50 per hour In preparation for this change, we are now hiring and training new team members on our current schedules:
2nd shift:
Monday - Friday, 3:
30 pm - midnight ($.
40 per hour shift differential) 3rd shift:
Sunday - Thursday, 11:
30 pm - 8:
00 am ($.
55 per hour shift differential) Team members will be required to work overtime including before and after regular shifts and on weekends prior to transitioning to the 24/7 schedule Responsibilities The Shipping Operations Lead will coordinate the activities of warehouse employees on shift ensuring that materials / ingredients are received and that products are shipped in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner to satisfy customer needs.
Practicing under Good Manufacturing Practices and Regulatory Food Safety Program.
In the Shipping Operations Lead role, you will:
Coordinate warehouse activities on a shift basis to ensure optimum utilization of warehouse resources and obtain maximum production efficiency, quality and safety to provide for safe, timely, accurate and cost-effective distribution of product to customers Provide feedback and direction for improved performance and work team development Assist with and participate in warehouse training programs and on-the-job training to provide more proficient operations Ensure consistency across all shifts by maintaining adherence to procedures and best practices Assist in the direction and coordination of continuous improvement projects in the warehouse Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety
Qualifications:
The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following
Qualifications:
Possess a high school diploma or a GED Previous manufacturing, warehouse or distribution experience is required Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed Ability to read, understand, and follow documents such as safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and general instructions Good communication skills, including the proven ability to give and receive feedback Proven ability to provide leadership and prioritization in designated area.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
