0 FTE appointment serving the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas, responsible for handling administrative tasks to support the mission of the school.
This position is critical to providing a welcoming, customer focused environment for internal and external customers of the school.
The primary work is tending to the front desk to help support faculty, staff, and students, handling varied requests.
The work is determined daily by what is needed; flexibility is a must in this work.
This position is also responsible for providing administrative support for professional continuing education activities for the school.

Job Description 65% Administrative Support to the School:
Supports all classroom documentation needs - typing, scanning, formatting, binding, etc - for faculty and staff as requested in a 24 hour turnaround time, maintains and troubleshoots the MFD machines in the building, monitors and orders supplies for the School, assists with events as requested.
Enters events on the website calendar and manages administrative requests for the school staff and faculty (activities such as parking pass requests, shredding services, scanning requests, office key management, distribution of class schedules each semester, office and mailbox signage updates and general assistance with requests when additional support is needed - mailing packages that have to be taken to the post office, catering requests, etc).
May supervise or provide leadership to student employees.
30% Administrative Support to School Events and Professional Continuing Education Offerings:
Provides support for events as requested, including but not limited to clerical support for Professional Continuing Education workshops.
Support can include tasks such as preparing materials (letters, nametags, receipts, signs, folders), handling conference questions and mailings, and maintaining files for conference registrations.
This position will also manage continuing education credential documentation for PCE in compliance with state requirements.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalency and two years of office experience or two years of post-secondary education.
