The West Zone includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California, Arizona, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and MissouriIf you want to join a company committed to you and your success, invest your technical expertise with us as a FEMA Construct Site InspectorThrough CCPRS, Jacobs is looking for you to provide technical assistance support for FEMA disaster-related operations throughout the U.SFEMA uses the PA TAC nationally to obtain Environmental Planners, Engineers, Construction Managers, Project Managers, Financial Analysts and other related professional services to assist state and local municipalities and public entities in developing grant applications for Federal Public Assistance funding for the repair of their infrastructure/facilities damaged by disasters (roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, water treatment facilities, parks etc.)As a FEMA Construction Site Inspector, you'll conduct preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) in the field with Federal, State and local officialsYou'll write Project Worksheets (PWs) for the purposes of determining project eligibility, scopes of work and estimating costs to repair or replace a facility or structure in order to restore it to its pre-disaster designWe'll lean on you to provide technical, cost estimating, and disaster recovery and/or management services while supporting technical professionalsYou'll be a key member of the team in assisting project managers or engineers in major segments of moderate to complex projects or tasks, and independently conducting projects involving the design, development, construction or evaluation of restoring disaster locationsWe'll rely on your expertise in interpreting construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications as well as FEMA Public Assistance policy and procedureFor our FEMA client, qualified candidates must be U.Scitizens, able to clear Department of Homeland Security background check for security clearance level of Public Trust, and open to working 8-12 hours per day for 5-6 days per weekYou'll potentially deploy to the field in remote disaster conditions, and most of the job responsibilities will be conducted in a FEMA officeDue to the nature of this type of unpredictable work, you must also have the ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours if ever needed to deploy, commit to up to 6 months or longer on a disaster deployment, and be flexible for contingent type of project workHere's what you'll need:
o 5 years of Adjusting/Claims and Construction Inspection experienceo Must be a U.Scitizen and be able to pass a FBI background checko Must have a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checko Must have a current valid driver's licenseo Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours, commit to a minimum 90-day assignment in remote locations and disaster conditionso Ability to work well across multiple teams and meet critical deadlineso Ability to stand or walk for long periods of times on varying terraino Flexibility to work in different locations as needed by FEMAo Proficiency in Microsoft Suiteo Computer Proficiency--in this role you must be competent and fully proficient at operating a computer, finding files, editing documents in adobe and word, working with Excel spreadsheets, ability to effectively interface with applications in web browsers, working knowledge of saving, renaming, editing, organizing files and moving between iPhone and PC seamlesslyIdeally, You'll Also Have:
o 10 plus years of Adjusting/Claims and Construction Inspection experienceo Significant focus and experience in providing excellent customer service, attention to detail and must have excellent communication (writing and verbal) skillso Prior experience in the PA Program:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
