We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team in the Water / Wastewater sector of the Construction industry.
This exciting role will involve managing and overseeing various water and wastewater projects, utilizing your extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering and water systems.
You will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
This role will give you the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and technical expertise in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of water and wastewater construction projects from inception to completion.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Develop a detailed project budget and track project costs in order to meet budget.
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Lead and direct the work of others.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
Minimum of 3
years of experience in a Project Management role in the Water / Wastewater sector.
Proven experience in project management and execution, specifically in water and wastewater projects.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods as applicable to a municipal setting.
Experience with storm water management and design.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management software.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
