Lawrence, KSThe Lawrence Plant provides some of the largest food, pharmaceutical, and industrial companies with Phosphate Salts and Phosphoric Acids used in a variety of products ranging from baby food to cake mixes, cheeses to meat, poultry, and seafood, and treatment of products from water to semiconductors to asphalt.

This position will assist with identifying and implementing EHS improvements through the application of sound EHS principles.
The individual in this role will work cross functionally across the business which includes operators, maintenance, plant leadership, and corporate support personnel.

Conduct workplace safety and environmental audits evaluating risks, as well as maintaining regulatory compliance
Participate on the site safety committees to assist local leaders and employees in identifying safety improvements to their areas
Create and conduct training on environmental, health and safety topics to site personnel and contractors
Conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling and analyze data to develop solutions for exposure reduction, as needed
Conduct periodic environmental sampling and analysis to ensure compliance
Participate with site personnel on identifying innovative technology for safety, environmental and sustainability for lasting improvements
Ownership and management of other individual projects as assignedWhat skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
Pursuing a B.
S.
or M.
S degree in EHS Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Must have completed their sophomore year
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to set priorities and demonstrate strong attention to detail
Highly motivated and eager to learn
