General Description:
The Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for assisting the Business Development Manager with all activities and events, including, but not limited to:
marketing/business development opportunities and promotion.
The Community Outreach Specialist will publicize the mission, needs and activities of the agency for the purpose of developing and promoting, maintaining and enhancing business and philanthropic relationships.
Company car may be available based on pre-set qualifications.
Duties:
Develop and maintain knowledge of VNA's brand; effectively present VNA programs at public speaking opportunities.
Assist in the development and implementation of agency's Business Development and Marketing plans.
Assist in developing, building and executing the strategic vision for media relations in collaboration with Business Development Manager.
Establish and maintain positive relationships and promote VNA to referral sources, physician practices, hospitals, potential patients, civic groups, community businesses and service organizations, etc.
Represent VNA in community activities and events to promote agency initiatives, for example health and vendor fairs, open houses, ribbon cuttings, etc.
in coordination with Business Development Manager.
Develop compelling stories to promote VNA endeavors in coordination with Business Development and Marketing plans; work with a variety of media outlets to find sources to publish/publicize stories in effort to promote agency initiatives.
Assist in writing, editing, distributing and archiving news releases.
Represent VNA on weekly radio show to disseminate information about agency.
Assist in development and design of promotional materials about agency programs and initiatives, for example, newsletters, booklets, articles, pamphlets, brochures, annual reports, annual appeals and other information including advertising materials about agency programs, services and needs in coordination with Business Development Manager.
Assist in implementation of fundraising goals and activities in coordination with Business Development Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with minimum of one year experience in marketing OR minimum of three years' experience working in the areas of development and resource development, event management, marketing and public relations, preferably in health care or not for profit.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher and/or Adobe InDesign programs and Microsoft PowerPoint.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
