Fire Canyon Barbeque Back of House team members are responsible for the overall preparation and assembly of food orders.
This may include any of the following:
Prepping dishes according to recipes, stocking inventory, ensuring a clean work environment, including washing dishes and kitchen utensils as needed and guaranteeing the satisfaction of our customers in a fast-paced environment while following safety protocols with the highest attention to quality.
Prepare food for service according to instructions, support kitchen staff and Pit Crew as needed and utilize kitchen equipment as required.
Observe and test all foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and using a food thermometer.
Ensure that all plates leaving the kitchen are properly prepared for table service in a timely manner.
Scrape dirty dishes, glasses and kitchen equipment, placing on racks or conveyer and operating machine according to instructions.
Wash dishes, glassware or kitchen equipment by hand when necessary.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-ins and storage areas.
Wash work tables, walls and cutting boards.
Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and other areas as assigned.
Skills and experience required:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Basic math skills required.
1-2 years experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred.
Knowledge of nutritional, sanitation and safety standards.
Must complete training for and receive food handler's certification.
Well organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Team oriented with excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism in stressful situations.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
