WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKS A SR. BUYER WITH MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE! COME JOIN OUR TEAM!! Job Summary: Places orders, expedites back orders and processes paperwork associated with Company's products and special order demand. Analyzes potential suppliers and evaluates inventory levels in accordance with company sales levels. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Place purchase orders in support of production requirements, follow up on back orders, make special arrangements for delivery, and communicate to the internal customer in a timely manner.
2. Maintains up to date information on vendors to ensure immediate access to information.
3. Establishes and maintains up to date catalog pricing to ensure proper evaluation of cost standards and vendor invoicing. Resolves issues related to cost and payment of invoices
4. Monitors special order requirements and places orders and expedites as needed to support customer needs.
5. Monitors inventory levels of assigned product categories.
6. Uses JDE system based reports to evaluate items to be purchased coordinating a smooth flow of material through the supply chain.
7. Evaluates reported Quality Issue information and works with the supplier toward resolution for manufacturing and/or customer satisfaction.
8. Utilizes proper planning skills through the use of an MRP, comprehends system settings and maintains those settings with regard to safety stock, minimums, multiples, planning and message fences. Makes needed adjustments in support of manufacturing demand and supplier capabilities.
9. Researches, evaluates and assists in the selection of potential suppliers 10. Assumes other duties as assigned.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:
1. Coordinates smooth flow of material through supply chain
2. Orders and expedites material through vendors
3. Monitors inventory levels via the computer system or physical review 4. Evaluates, revises and maintains inventory levels in support of production planning. 5. Manages relationship with suppliers in an analytical and professional manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light office activities and duties
2. Occasional material inspections, which may involve some light lifting (45 lbs. maximum). 3. Occasional walking and standing on the production floor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
1. Must possess strong math skills
2. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
3. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with diverse personalities in a tactful and flexible manner.
4. Must be results and people oriented, assertive and have sound judgment.
5. Must possess applicable computer systems knowledge including 3-5 years' experience with Microsoft Word and Excel as a minimum.
6. Must possess the ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
7. Requires 3-5 years MRP/ERP system experience, JDE/Oracle preferred. 8. Prefer some college or 3-5 years purchasing/planning experience in a manufacturing environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
