Job Description: Job Summary: Administer daily functions of computer systems and peripherals at Lawrence Kansas Manufacturing facility.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1 : Team Member of Corporate Information Technology Organization working at the Lawrence Kansas Manufacturing facility.
2 : Provide users with network and computer technical support. Responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access to network resources and other computer-related problems.
3 : Provides support to IS staff for testing software changes and developing test data.
4 : Monitors appropriate security procedures to safeguard system from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users and damage to data.
5 : Installs network and client hardware and software components as required.
6 : Administers the daily operation of Lawrence network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, time and attendance devices and video equipment.
7 : Installs PC software and hardware and other devices as needed.
8 : Prepares and maintains documentation of network cabling layouts and system hardware inventory in addition to other technical documentation.
9 : Utilization of the Infra request for IT services system.
10 : Administers Avaya telephone system as required.
11 : Develops and maintains knowledge of current technology and software needs.
12 : Performs troubleshooting and analysis to resolve issues.
13 : Ability to work as a team member on Amarr Corporate-wide initiatives.
14 : Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:
1 : Provides users with network and computer technical support.
2 : Provides PC, phones and server support.
3 : Responds to needs and questions of users concerning access to network resources and other computer-related problems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1 : Ability to lift computer hardware and supplies up to 40 pounds.
2 : Good dexterity.
3 : Ability to move about buildings and up and down stairs.
4 : Limited, but some travel may be required.
5 : Must be able to be "on-call" 7x24 and carry a company supplied cell phone.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
1 : Minimum of 1-2 years of related schooling or training.
2 : Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in 2-3 years of practical system operations and administration experience in the manufacturing or business environment.
3 : Working knowledge of personal computers and experience with Microsoft applications, and data collections systems.
4 : Prefer at least two years experience as a support person for computer applications and computer hardware.
5 : Strong organizational and time management skills.
6 : Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7 : Strong initiative and analytical skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
