Professional Roommates

The work schedule for a professional roommate consists of three set 24-hour days per week, for an
average of 13 days per month. The three day work schedule allows 4 days a week off and only requires one round trip from home to work per week, which makes this job perfect for people who live in
surrounding towns and rural areas.Because of the many days professional roommates have off during a
month, many maintain a second job to supplement their income or spend more time with their family!
While on duty, professional roommates live and eat at a CLO home with the individuals with
developmental disabilities. Professional Roommates help mentor and teach skills of independent living typically for two roommates with intellectual disabilities.
The home contains a personal area with bedroom, bathroom, shower and office space for professional roommates. The home is outfitted with a kitchen and dining area as well.
Professional roommates receive a salary of $30,000 per year.
