Automation Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides immediate response to equipment malfunctions. Utilize mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills to ensure complete problem resolution.
? Communicate and work cooperatively with fellow technicians and line associates.
? Ensures equipment compliance to established manufacturing policies identified by the management team.
? Performs tasks in accordance with the preventive maintenance program and recommends additions and/or deletions to the existing P.M. framework.
? Has sole shift responsibility to perform all preventive maintenance on handling equipment.
? Participates in activities such as team meetings, problem solving sessions, etc.
? Assists with any equipment upgrades, modifications, and new design projects.
? Participate and/or lead project focus teams associated with plant wide manufacturing improvement opportunities.
? Responsible for following all Berry Plastics Safety Programs including but not limited to LOTO, Ark Flash, Hot Works, Fall Protection, etc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Two year technical degree or equivalent preferred. Advanced training in electronics / robotics preferred, supplemented by training in computer programming.
1 - 5 years experience in an automated production environment maintaining electrical, pneumatic and mechanical devices.
Experience with 24V/120V control, AC induction and servomotors, drives and PLC controls. Experience with input and output devices (i.e. proximity switches, solenoid valves, motor starters). Analog devices (i.e. transducers, encoders). Experience with building control panel enclosures (i.e. layout, wiring, and debug in accordance to system schematics). Must be proficient in the testing and troubleshooting.
Experience with PLC programming, editing and troubleshooting.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
