Position Summary: The Interactive Designer is primarily responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces for web-based software applications. The role requires expert knowledge of standards-based web development including XHTML/HTML markup, CSS and Javascript. The Designer will work closely with user experience designers and software developers to implement functional, useable and visually pleasing user interfaces. The Designer should have a good working knowledge of best practices for making web interfaces accessible. The Designer will also be responsible for the creation of design mockups and interactive prototypes to demonstrate functionality.

Position Qualifications
Education: 4-year degree, preferably in software, design or related fields
3+ years of experience working with Photoshop and Illustrator or similar products
3+ years of experience using XHTML, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
2+ years of experience developing with server-side technologies, such as Node, Java, PHP, etc
Experience with designing for mobile and hand-held devices is a plus
Certifications, Licensure or Special Training:
No need for certification or training as a requirement for this position.
Required Skills:
Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement design solutions that meet business and user requirements
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Expertise in implementing pixel-perfect web designs using HTML and CSS
Expertise with semantic HTML markup
Proficiency in designing websites and interfaces using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Excellent organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment
JavaScript/jQuery experience
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with CSS preprocessors such as specifically LESS
Understanding of accessible markup for assistive technologies
Front end development on mobile devices
CSS animation techniques
GIT version control
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Knowledge of usability testing and user-centered design processes
Familiarity with JSON and XML
Behavior Standards:

High level of creativity and clean design style

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
