Commerce Bank is seeking a motivated and customer focused individual for a Personal Banker Associate Utility opportunity. The Personal Banker position serves as an ambassador of Commerce Bank to our customers. This key branch team member is primarily responsible for providing the optimal customer experience and delivering personal service across multiple business lines, which includes service and sales activities. On a typical banking day, the Personal Banker will enjoy a significant level of customer contact and requests. This position will provide a great level of skill, knowledge and experience for your career and professional development. The Personal Banker Utility will be required to travel and work at various branches with varying starting and ending times based on the needs of the branch throughout the Kansas City metro area (other than base location).
Hourly Pay Range: $10.50 - $11.35
(An extra 10% hourly pay premium is provided for the Personal Banker Utility position)
Work Hours: 40 hours during M-W 7:15 - 6:15, Thursday 7:15 - 7:15, Friday 7:15 - 6:45 & some Saturdays 7:45 - 4:15
As a Personal Banker Associate, you will:
\tProcess customer transactions, balance, and safeguard against fraud
\tMaximize the customer's experience during interactions while executing Commerce Bank's expectations and assist in meeting the branch team's goals
\tObtain and evaluate customer information and develop recommendations to match and satisfy customer needs
\tPromote Commerce Bank's products and services based on customer's needs
\tEffectively leverage sales process within customer interactions, cross-selling and referral skills
Education:
\tHigh School diploma (or equivalent) is required
Preferred applicants will have:
\tPrevious experience in customer service, retail sales or similar position is highly preferred
\tEffective customer service and sales skills
\tCash handling experience is preferred but not required
\tStrong PC skills with ability to learn retail banking sales and transaction processing systems
\tStrong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy skills
\tEffective organizational skills
\tAbility to work Saturdays

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
