K-State Research and Extension - Douglas County is accepting applications for a Nutrition Program Assistant for the SNAP-Ed Program (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) to provide nutrition education to limited resource groups and individuals throughout the county. The position is 20 hours per week. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Education, Family and Consumer Sciences or closely relatedfield. Applicant must have a valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance, reliable transportation, and capable of lifting, moving and transporting equipment and supplies. Beginning salary is $15.00 per hour plus benefits.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
