Student Hourly - Provost Office

## Position Overview
This is a student position which requires substantial phone work and excellent customer service skills. The position responsibilities are general office duties and completing tasks as assigned by Provost Office staff.
Preference given to those willing/wanting to work during breaks.
## Job Description
Employee must perform a variety of duties and have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Duties can include running campus errands, answering multi-line telephone, filing, correspondence, operate signing machine, photocopying, and stuffing envelopes. Employee would also be responsible for stocking and keeping the workroom organized.
## Required Qualifications
1. Excellent written communication skills as evidenced by the application materials.
2. Clerical/administrative support experience which includes knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook, as evidenced by the application materials.
3. Minimum enrollment of 6 credit hours at KU during the semester.
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Excellent verbal communication skills.
2. Experience using a multi-line phone system.
3. Personable, tactful and able to use discretion.
4. Knowledge of campus.
5. Dependable and the ability to work in blocks of time.
6. Availability to work over breaks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
