## Job Description
Under direct supervision, the Student-Veteran Liaison will perform a variety of routine clerical, reception, and office support functions for the Student Veteran Center in Summerfield Hall. Daily responsibilities include assisting office visitors, preparing documents, record keeping, answering phones and general email queries, as well as supporting SVC staff. Other related duties as assigned.
## Required Qualifications
1. KU student in good standing and enrolled in a minimum of three credit hours (depends on eligibility).
2. VA Work Study eligible. To determine eligibility, visit: the VA?s Work Study page.
3. Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook as described in application materials.
4. Experience working independently and efficiently as demonstrated in application materials
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior experience in an office/customer service setting.
2. Ability to work with a wide range of students, prospective students, faculty, and staff.
3. Prior experience in web design, editing, or use of CMS.
4. Effective written communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
