POOL - Student Research Assistant - ITTC

## Job Description
Support research in one of the Information and Telecommunication Technology Center (ITTC) Laboratories. The ITTC Labs are Bioinformatics and Computational Life-Sciences, Communications & Signal Processing, Computer Systems Design, e-Learning Design, Information Assurance, Networking Systems, and Radar Systems and Remote Sensing. Specific research duties are determined on-the-job according to the needs of the professor, staff, and graduate students working on the specific project.
## Required Qualifications
1. Undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
2. Programming experience in C++ / Java
3. Must meet KU minimum enrollment requirement for employment.
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Pursuing a degree in computer science or engineering or closely related field.
2. Engineering GPA > 3.5

Conditions of Employment: Students holding student hourly appointments must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours during the academic year. Enrollment of one credit hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
