Student Research Assistant

## Job Description
This position is to assist with Professor Cheong?s research. The main duties are literature (academic journals, policy documents, news journals, etc) search, review, summary, and editing.
## Required Qualifications
1. GPA over 3.3.
2. Must be a senior or graduate student.
3. Demonstrated history of being punctual (keeping deadlines, appointments) as indicated in application materials.
4. Successful completion of social science courses for good base of social science knowledge as indicated in application materials.
5. Excellent English written communication skills as indicated in application materials and interview.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
