Theatre Costume Shop Assistant POOL

## Position Overview
Hands-on work creating the costume elements involved in the University Theatre season. Required experience in machine and hand sewing.
## Job Description
Experience working with fabrics. Must be able to operate a sewing machine or stitch by hand. Attention to detail and self-motivation required. Ability to work individually, as well as with others, as needed.
## Required Qualifications
1. Experience in sewing and working with fabrics as evidenced in application material or previous work experience. Skill in painting, crafting and fabric techniques helpful.
2. During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
## Preferred Qualifications
1. 2-hour class in costume production
2. Work Study eligibility

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
