EECS Shop Worker - Student Hourly/Work Study POOL

## Job Description
Man the frost desk of the EECS Shop. Distribute probe kits and electronic components; maintain inventory of kits and stock; medial repair to tools, basic electronic equipment, and accessories; perform routine maintenance, calibration, and verification of equipment; communicate with faculty and students concerning service issues; general janitorial tasks in work area; other duties as assigned.
## Required Qualifications
Knowledge of basic electronic tools, equipment, and accessories; basic electronic theory; ability to recognize electronic component packaging (TO cases, SM, axial, raldial, DIP, etc.); basic soldering proficiency; strong verbal skills; basic computer literacy in both hardware and software (OS only)
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
## Preferred Qualifications
Successful completion of EECS 140 Intro to Digital Logic Design

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
