Position Overview
Agile Technology Solutions (ATS) a center within Achievement and Assessment Institute is looking for an experienced and motivated Research Architect to join its team. This individual will be part of a high performing technology team that is focused on designing and developing next generation learning solutions that are cross platform compatible. Day to day activities will include architecting/designing new applications and working with the developers on changes made to all existing enterprise class web applications used to facilitate and enhance the learning process.
Job Description
Serves in a lead role in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of highly complex, integrated systems. Develops system design to provide optimum solution to complex projects. Prepares flow charts, diagram, and detailed program specifications to describe and document the proposed system. Serves as a senior consultant to developers and analysts.
60% Conceptualization and design of systems and their components
Leads or coordinates design team and/or collaborates with researchers utilizing business process thinking and best practices to conceptualize, design, create, prototype, implement, and maintain network, hardware and/or software solutions that support research and assessment
Works on extremely complex problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors
20% Technical consultant to development team and leadership
Coordinates and/or collaborates with developers, analysts and/or engineers to test, troubleshoot, build, and maintain technology solutions, and to define and create user experiences
Assures creation and maintenance of system documentation, reporting, and review
Acts as a technical lead or consultant on various projects, and leads the development of intellectual property
Exhibits creativity, foresight and judgment in conducting research programs/projects
10% Gather intelligence related to technology trends and competing products
Stay abreast of trends within the industry as they relate to future innovation of our products and development of new products
Review industry standards and recommend migration paths to align with those standards
10% Represent ATS and AAI to the technical community at large
Participates and/or collaborates in grant development and may serve an outreach role to establish system collaboration opportunities
May participate in new external collaborative product development
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or other related field and ten(10) years relevant experience.
7 years hands on experience in architecture, designing, developing, and testing distributed large scale transactional systems.
5 years in a position working directly with clients to identify their IT needs, bridging the gap between business and IT.
5 years working on data architectures. Experience designing and implementing transactional, reporting and data warehouse solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Architecture certification
Proficient with risk analysis and mitigation
Proficient with security analysis and vulnerability mitigation
Experience with disaster recovery planning, review and improvement
Experience with cloud solution architectures

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
