## Position Overview
Undergraduate Teaching Assistants will assist the instructor during the class lectures, attend the weekly organizational meetings, and run recitation sessions. Must be able to attend the lecture sessions from 1:00 to 1:50 p.m. on Mondays and from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays in the Spring 2017 term. _Do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement._
## Job Description
Assist instructor during the classroom lectures.
Attend weekly organizational meetings.
Run evening recitation sections.
## Required Qualifications
1. Completion of PHSX 211, or its equivalent, and received a grade of B or better.
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience teaching or tutoring.
2. Major in ASTR, PHSX, or EPHX

Student Appointment
Student appointments may be either undergraduate or graduate students. Exceptions to the minimum enrollment requirements that are granted for GTA/GRA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to student hourly appointments.
During the semester term of the student hourly appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours.
For summer periods the student must:
1. have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester, or
2. be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours, or
3. be enrolled in summer session, or
4. be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
