## Job Description
Work in Network Support area, which would include the following:
Assist in the processing of work requests for voice/data/video services
Assist in network documentation
Assist in the maintenance of network switches.
Additional duties as assigned
This position requires excellent customer service skills and willingness to learn data and telecommunications network technology. This position offers the potential to increase your computing and networking skills and salary. All IT personnel are required to abide by University and Information Services security and network policies, IT policies and procedures, and to sign a confidentiality agreement annually.
## Required Qualifications
1. Enrolled in 6 credit hours at The University of Kansas.
2. Strong PC skills in Windows Environment.
3. Experience processing & entering data.
4. Available to work semester breaks and summer breaks.
5. 6 months customer service experience.
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Ability to complete assigned work accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Technical Interest & Capabilities.
3. Previous KU Experience.
4. Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Computer Science or Information Services courses.
6. Ability to work as a team player.
7. Eligible for Federal Work Study funding.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
