Supervisory Diabetes Program Manager

Assigns and monitors daily work activities of staff Provides professional leadership, advice, guidance and consultation to clinical staff as well as community health care workers, leadership and prevention and related health care topics Provide direction on the development of work plans, budgets, and staffing requirements Attends all national, regional, and local grantee meetings as required Responsible as necessary for developing, implementing and revising polices and procedures for the program Plans, implements and supervises community awareness projects and community-based activities When applicable, serves as Project Officer for contracts with tribes and/or non-personal services Works with the Clinic Performance Improvement Officer to implement performance improvement activities for the department To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Individual Occupational Requirements BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree:
major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Examples include:
One year of specialized experience planning, managing, and executing administrative programs and activities of an organization in the following areas; health care related to diabetes prevention, treatment and care; providing technical assistance to improve processes related to patient care, disease management, behavior change and self-management education. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
